Kay L. Bitter Vision Award For Excellence In Technology-Based PK-12 Education

Given in memory of Kay L. Bitter, this award recognizes a PK-2 educator whose work has had a significant positive impact on technology use in education.

About Kay L. Bitter

Kay L. Bitter (1943–2001) was involved in early childhood education for more than 20 years. She had a passion for teaching, always inspiring her young students by engaging them in exciting learning activities. She was truly a cutting-edge professional who was extremely effective in bringing technology into her classroom on a daily basis.

The person selected to receive this award will:

  • Be honored at ISTE's annual conference and exposition.
  • Receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used for the recipient's program or own continued professional development and a plaque recognizing the recipient's outstanding achievement.
  • Be featured in ISTE publications and in press releases provided to local media and on the website.
  • Receive a one-year ISTE standard membership.
  • Receive a complimentary ISTE 2012 conference registration.
