Sylvia Charp Award for District Innovation in Technology

Presented by T.H.E. Journal and ISTE, this award for district innovation in technology recognizes a school district that has shown effectiveness and innovation in the application of technology district wide. Honoring Dr. Sylvia Charp and her groundbreaking contributions and extended service to the education technology community, this award has two focuses:

  • Districtwide implementation: The winner will ensure equity and appropriate technology use for all students in the district.
  • Innovation: Progress in education, as in all endeavors of our society, depends on new ideas.

The winning district receives:

  • Recognition at ISTE's conference and exposition
  • $2,000 travel stipend and registration to attend ISTE's annual conference and exposition
  • The opportunity to be featured in ISTE publications and in press releases provided to local media and on the website
  • Recognition in T.H.E. Journal and Learning and Leading with Technology magazine
