Kay L. Bitter Vision Award

Given in memory of Kay L. Bitter, this award recognizes a PK–2 educator whose work has had a significant positive impact on the use of technology in education.

About Kay L. Bitter

Kay L. Bitter (1943–2001) was involved in early childhood education for more than 20 years. She had a passion for teaching and always inspired her young students by engaging them in exciting learning activities. She was truly a cutting-edge professional who was extremely effective in bringing technology into her classroom on a daily basis. We're looking for an individual who embodies these traits. 

The award winner will receive:

  • Recognition at ISTE's annual conference and exposition
  • Complimentary registration to ISTE's annual conference and exposition
  • Up to $1,000 travel stipend to attend ISTE's annual conference and exposition
  • A one-year ISTE membership
  • An engraved plaque recognizing the recipient's outstanding achievement
  • Recognition in ISTE publications, in press releases provided to local media, and on the iste.org website

Nominations for 2013 ISTE Awards are now closed. Winners and non-winners will be notified in April.
