  General sessions occurring on Sunday evening, Tuesday morning, and Wednesday afternoon.

  One or more presenters, each addressing the audience independently.

  Lecture Sessions featuring recognized leaders in Ed Tech.

• Corporate Spotlight [posted as confirmed]
  Lecture Sessions featuring CEOs and/or executive leadership of NECC's Tier One and Tier Two sponsoring companies.


• Panel
  Main presenter serving as moderator interacting with copresenter panelists.


• Problem/Solution Panel
  Moderator appointed by program committee interacting with independent panelists selected to present their successful solutions to a specific Ed Tech challenge.


• Model Lesson (in a Model Classroom)
  Presenter assumes role of teacher giving lesson while audience assumes role of students or observers in a 21st-century model classroom. Limited seating. First-come, first serve.


• BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop)
  Presenters deliver content in a more interactive, hands-on environment where audience brings own laptops. Limited seating. First-come, first-serve.


• Open Source Lab
  Presenters teach, demonstrate, show open source software in a Linux-based, thin client environment. Limited seating. First-come, first-serve.


• Tablet Lab
  Presenters demonstrate pen-based computing by teaching a lesson in a Tablet PC–based environment. Limited seating. First-come, first-serve.


• IVC Showcase
  Half-hour presentations by interactive videoconferencing (IVC) leaders and innovators showcasing their programming content and classroom initiatives via videoconferencing from their home locations.


• Birds-of-a-Feather [posted as confirmed]
  Informal, one-and-a-half hour discussion format providing a special opportunity for like-minded educators to gather and network.

Posters (day/time listings)
Informal, two-hour exhibit-style presentations (unless noted otherwise) occurring in an open, public environment.

• Traditional
  Focused on the sharing of curriculum, staff development, or administrative Ed Tech ideas.


• Global Gallery
  Focused on the sharing of international projects, curricula, and promising practices.


• Student Showcase
  Features students sharing their classroom projects and activities.


• Playground
  Informal, all-day exhibit-style presentations featuring interactive hands-on demonstrations of technologies and resources available for Art, Music, AT for IT, Games & Simulations, Second Life, and a 21st-Century Media Center.

Research Papers (day/time listings)
One-hour presentations featuring original research on the general theme of using technologies to enhance education.

• Discussion
  Multiple papers presented concurrently in an informal table discussion format in the same room.


• Presentation
  Two papers presented consecutively in a formal lecture format in the same room.
