1. Adoption of the ISTE NETS

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) released its first set of standards, the NETS for Students, in 1998. These were closely followed by the release of teacher and administrator standards. These standards were widely adopted, adapted, or referenced in the United States and other countries. The NETS for Students 2007 were released in June 2007 and we are seeking information on plans for adopting or adapting them. We appreciate your time in answering a few questions. Thank you!

1. Are you familiar with the NETS for Students 2007?

2. What school district, state, province, and/or country are you from?

3. Has your school begun to implement the new NETS for Students?

4. Has your school district begun to implement the new NETS for Students?

5. Has your state/province begun to implement the new NETS for Students?

6. How will the NETS be used (adopted, adapted, referenced) at your school, district, state/province?

7. What resources do your school, district, or state/province need to make the transition smooth? (ie professional development, funding, etc)

8. When do you think your school, district, or state will complete the transition?
