Resources Specifications  | Professional development offering is 100% aligned to the NETS for Teachers | | 45 hours of contact per participant | | Sequenced, facilitated online professional development | | Intermediate level of technology skills required | PBS TeacherLine partners with ISTE to certify teachers who lead the way in classroom technology integration through the PBS TeacherLine Capstone Program. The program includes three research-based, online professional development courses that enable educators to demonstrate their mastery of ISTE's 2008 NETS for Teachers (NETS•T) and earn recognized certification in technology integration. In each course, teachers will: | Identify relevant research about technology and learning | | Develop a multimedia portfolio of projects that demonstrate technical standards in classroom situations | | Exchange ideas and strategies with other program participants | | Interact with a coach who provides guidance and feedback | | | Teachers who successfully complete the program receive a joint certificate from ISTE and PBS TeacherLine.Teachers who successfully complete the program receive a joint certificate from ISTE and PBS TeacherLine certifying their proficiency in ISTE NETS•T standards. | |  | Seal of Alignment for Mastery Statement:
The International Society for Technology in Education completed review of the PBS TeacherLine Capstone Program on July 1, 2010. ISTE determined that the program clearly supports implementation of the ISTE NETS for Teachers (NETS•T 2008) in a specific, carefully reviewed and documented manner and fairly assesses mastery of the following standards:
