Brian Lewis, ISTE CEO
Brian Lewis, M.A., C.A.E.

Chief Executive Officer

Brian Lewis, M.A., C.A.E., chief executive officer, is an energetic education advocate and leader specializing in management and governance, policy, corporate communications, branding and marketing. His passion for building vibrant, mission-focused teams and fostering organizational brand strength, coupled with his ability to advance long-range growth plans, make him a dynamic leader poised to help shape ISTE’s future.

Brian provides leadership for ISTE’s Washington, D.C., and Eugene, Ore., offices and directs organizational planning and performance while working with the ISTE Board of Directors to ensure effective governance as well as legal and ethical integrity.

Brian joined ISTE in September 2012 following a 25-year career in both the public and private sectors. He has served as a nonprofit association leader in several capacities, including chief strategy officer and interim CEO for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), as executive director of the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO), as assistant executive director for the California School Boards Association (CSBA), as director of governmental relations for the San Diego County Office of Education and the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA), and as senior legislative advocate for CSBA. He also has served as an elected school board member for the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District in Roseville, Calif.

Brian holds a master's in communication studies from California State University, Sacramento, and a bachelor's in mass communications from the University of California, Davis.

Tracee Aliotti is a marketing professional specializing in brand development and management, strategic marketing planning and execution, and digital and content strategy development. In her role as chief marketing officer, Tracee oversees all ISTE marketing efforts tied to brand management and growth, marketing content strategy, social media, web and digital experiences, and design and creative services.

Beginning in 2009, Tracee served as the organization's director and then senior director, marketing & brand management. A few of her major contributions to ISTE include project management of the organization's 2013 rebrand effort, implementation of a structure to support brand management and the rollout of an agile marketing program. Prior to joining ISTE, she worked as a senior account manager at a brand design firm where she led the creation of comprehensive brand and marketing programs for a diverse portfolio of clients. During her time at the firm, Tracee had the opportunity to work as the lead project manager on many major accounts, including the 2008 USGA Women's Amateur; City of Rochester, MN; University of Oregon Alumni Association; and City of Beaverton, OR. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a marketing and communications emphasis from the University of Oregon.


Wendy Drexler, Chief Innovation Officer

Wendy Drexler Ph.D., Ed.S., chief innovation officer, has 23 years of experience in education as an educator, leader and innovator in K-12 and higher education. She has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Her corporate experience includes developing a proprietary learning management system as well as some of the first web-based training programs for global network sales at IBM and AT&T.

Prior to joining ISTE, she served as director of online development at Brown University, where she championed its first online and blended courses. She also launched Exploring Engineering, one of the first massive open online courses (MOOCs) for high school students. Previously, Wendy coordinated the research effort associated with the Title II Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) grant across 23 school districts in Florida.

Wendy holds a doctorate in education technology from the University of Florida; an Ed.S. in curriculum and instruction, education technology, from the University of Florida, Gainesville; and a Master of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Her doctoral research focused on student use of web 2.0 tools to construct personal learning environments. She serves on the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) 21st Century Task Force and consults with schools on the design of blended and online learning programs.

Wendy has been an ambassador for the effective integration of education technology throughout her career and ongoing affiliation with ISTE. Her views about technology as a catalyst for connecting and empowering students and teachers to transform learning echo ISTE's vision and mission. Her wide-ranging experience, knowledge and dedication position her well to advance the organization's innovation efforts.


Jessica Medaille, Chief Membership Officer

Jessica Medaille, chief membership officer, is an experienced leader with 25 years in the post-secondary, private education sector, working for large corporations, new venture start-ups and nonprofits. Jessica has held executive responsibilities in education and association management, membership development, marketing, sales, operations, customer service and business development. She joined ISTE in 2005 after serving as a regional director at Kaplan Inc. and as vice president of operations at Teacher Universe.

A collaborative leader and creative problem solver, Jessica is recognized for developing strong, innovative teams that support educators who are transforming the way students learn and teachers teach. As chief membership officer, Jessica oversees all membership relations and programming while leading the planning and execution of ISTE conferences, expositions and events. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College.


Jodie Pozo-Olano, Chief Communications Officer

Jodie Pozo-Olano is a seasoned communications and marketing expert with nearly 20 years of experience working in public relations, communications and marketing. She has served in senior positions in government, nonprofit and corporate environments and is recognized in the education technology industry for developing thought-leading communications campaigns. Most recently, she led global public relations activities for Promethean, a UK-based company that specializes in interactive classroom solutions.

Prior to joining Promethean, her education-focused public relations consultancy, Sequoia Public Relations, helped launch a number of national education initiatives, including NBC Learn (now Education Nation), the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) and the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL). Jodie started her career in public policy at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she was involved in education technology initiatives, including the development of the nation's first National Education Technology Plan. Later, she served at the Federal Communications Commission, where she managed media for Chairman Reed Hundt. As a result of her work at the FCC, she was part of the 14-person team at Schools and Libraries Corporation that launched the E-Rate program.

Jodie holds a master’s in public policy management with a concentration in communications from the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from South Dakota State University. She lives in Warrenton, Va., with her husband Jack and two children, Catherine and J. C.

Craig Thibaudeau, chief external relations officer, is an innovative and strategic thinker with a passion for the difference education can make for our children, our schools and our world. Craig has more than 30 years of senior-level association management experience representing U.S. nonprofit, domestic and international organizations. Working with education, corporate, political and diplomatic leaders, he has directed strategic initiatives supporting public policy at the international, national, state and local levels of government. During his career, he has specialized in nonprofit strategic planning, legislative advocacy, marketing and communications, membership, and event management.

Craig oversees ISTE’s government relations and corporate relations programs. He joined ISTE in November 2012 following more than 10 years with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, where he served as executive director for external relations and executive director for mobilization and outreach.

Craig received his bachelor's in political sociology from Eisenhower College and completed the professional development program in association management with the American Society of Association Executives and the College of Business and Management at the University of Maryland.


Anne Tully, Chief Operations Officer

Anne Tully, chief operating officer, is an inspirational financial and operations leader with proven experience in nonprofit management and professional services in both publicly and privately held organizations. Anne has exceptional skills in change management and process re-engineering as well as an innate ability to plan strategically and execute on those plans. She joined ISTE in 2011 as CFO after serving for more than 12 years as the vice president of finance and administration at Gongos Research Inc. in Auburn Hills, Mich.

A collaborative team builder, Anne is results and action oriented. She is a forward thinker with positive energy and a focus on driving continuous improvement. She has a passion for lean thinking and seeks creative solutions to solve business problems. As chief operating officer, Anne oversees all business operation functions, including fiscal, IT, HR, business operations and customer service.

Anne holds a B.S.A. in accounting from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Detroit.
