Going forward, all board positions will be “at large.” The board nominations committee will be looking for candidates who know ISTE, represent geographical and experiential diversity, and have competencies in any of the following areas: financial, advocacy, policy governance, or experience serving on a board. The board remains committed to finding dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled members who can effectively represent multiple groups within our member communities.
The Call for Participation, which opens January 4, 2013, is your opportunity to nominate yourself for a board position. Please visit ISTE's website to learn more about ISTE board member service and requirements. You can also download the official ISTE Board Information Packet (PDF).
The board will continue to connect directly with membership to learn more about the needs of the organization and to effectively guide the work of ISTE.
If you have any questions or comments regarding our new board model, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your support of the ISTE mission and all that you do to improve teaching and learning for educators and students around the world.
Sincerely,
Holly Jobe ISTE Board President
