PHILADELPHIA – Celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary, thousands of educators gathered for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in Philadelphia for the organization’s annual Conference & Expo.
The total number of participants topped 20,000. Teachers, education leaders and exhibitors from all 50 states and 81 countries gathered in the City of Brotherly Love for four days of immersive professional learning. The conference comprised of over 2,000 learning opportunities, presented by more than 3,000 presenters, including 476 students, from hands on workshops and playgrounds, to BYOD sessions, field trips and inspirational speakers.
Attendees engaged in critical topics on education, sharing best practices on innovating learning, empowering and engaging learnings. They were treated to hands-on experiences with augmented and virtual reality, as well as seeing first-hand how 3D printing works and new developments in artificial intelligence. More than 550 companies shared their latest products.
