Ji Soo Song is a young advocate committed to promoting educational equity. As a policy and advocacy associate at ISTE, he analyzes policy issues related to state edtech standards, educator credentialing systems, and state and federal edtech funding streams.

Prior to ISTE, Ji Soo served as a City Year AmeriCorps Member at a Title I Elementary School in the District of Columbia, where he taught third-grade mathematics and robotics, and received the 2018 WilmerHale Civic Innovation Award. Ji Soo was also an undergraduate intern at the Office of Educational Technology (OET), where he worked on the higher education supplement to the National Education Technology Plan and OET Dear Colleague Letter. At OET he additionally supported the #GoOpen Campaign, development of the open licensing requirement for competitive grant programs, and the dual enrollment Pell experiment.

Ji Soo holds a B.A. in biology and education from Dartmouth College and is an M.Ed. student in education policy and leadership at American University’s School of Education.
