This raffle is sponsored by ISTE (“Sponsor”) and is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in this raffle, each contestant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the raffle, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, is final in all aspects. This promotion is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Amazon, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Sponsor, not Amazon, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

ELIGIBILITY

The raffle is open to all active members of ISTE who are legal residents of their respective countries where not prohibited by law, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of prize offerings, who have internet access and a valid email account. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each contestant. No purchase is necessary for members to participate.

PROMOTION PERIOD

The raffle entry window begins on Sept. 3, 2019, at 12 a.m. PST and ends Sept. 30, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. PST. (“promotion period”). All reviews (submissions) into Edtech Advisor must be received during the promotion period and must meet ISTE’s standard of quality and excellence to count toward total review contributions. Sponsor reserves the right to extend or shorten the promotion period at its sole discretion..

HOW TO ENTER

All active ISTE members are eligible to participate by submitting reviews into Edtech Advisor during the promotion period. Each review will count for one entry in one raffle. Each participant is eligible for multiple entries per raffle, so long as each entry meets the Sponsor’s standard for high-quality reviews. After each drawing, entries for each raffle will be reset. After each drawing is complete, entries submitted prior to the drawing will not count toward the subsequent drawing. 

Drawings will take place on the following dates:
Drawing #1: Sept. 6, 2019
Drawing #2: Sept. 13, 2019
Drawing #3: Sept. 20, 2019
Drawing #4: Oct. 1, 2019

PROMOTION DETAILS AND WINNER SELECTION

Promotion is in the format of four separate raffles. Each raffle has a stand-alone prize. Winners of the first three raffles will each receive one (1) $50 Amazon gift card. The winner of the final raffle will receive a grand prize of one (1) $150 Amazon gift card. 

Winners will be notified by email after raffle drawing. Simultaneously, prize announcement and instructions will be sent to the email address supplied on the potential prize winner’s membership profile. Each contestant is responsible for monitoring their email account for prize notification and receipt or other communications related to this promotion. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Administrator (or Sponsor) within 15 days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. Upon the request of the Sponsor, the potential winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Release and Prize Acceptance Form. If a potential winner fails to comply with these official rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.

PRIZES

One (1) $50 Amazon gift card will be awarded to each winner of the first three (3) drawings. 
One (1) $150 Amazon gift card will be awarded to the winner of the final drawing.

Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses that are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of the awarded prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

STANDARD OF QUALITY

Edtech Advisor allows users to contribute content such as reviews, grades, and tips. To be considered for contest eligibility reviews must include sufficient information and level of detail to be helpful for readers to evaluate a product or tool. Here are a few criteria to consider when grading a product or tool:

  • Personal experience - What was your first-hand experience when using the tool or product?
  • Benefits of use - How has this tool helped you?
  • Drawbacks of use -  What challenges did you run into while using this tool or product?
  • Situational knowledge - In what situation or situations would you find this tool helpful or not helpful?
  • Customer support - What was your experience with the product or tool's customer support?
  • Interest in use - Why would you want to try the tool or product?

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS

Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the raffle, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this promotion is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the raffle without notice and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Sponsor determines that the raffle cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorized intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the raffle. In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Sponsor reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Sponsor and its respective parent, affiliate and subsidiary companies, agents and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE RAFFLE, EACH CONTESTANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, THE FACEBOOK PLATFORM THE INSTAGRAM PLATFORM, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT CONTESTANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE RAFFLE AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE RAFFLE.

By participating, each entrant grants Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
