This webinar recording is from December 14th, 2016.

Family Code Night is a free whole-school family event at which children K-5 and their parents do their first hour of coding, together.  The program has been featured on the White House website, the front page of the New York Times, and at the September 2016 White House Computer Science for All Summit.

This 30 minute webinar will help educators bring this delightful evening program to their school.  Any school can hold its own Family Code Night, without special training or coding experience, using the free Event Kit provided by FamilyCodeNight.org.  The Event Kit has everything a school needs to put on the program, including Presenter’s script, planning checklists, posters, email invitations, program materials, “Code On at Home” guides, and other handouts for all families.  In the webinar, Family Code Night director John Pearce will describe the program, explain the planning and execution of the event, and detail how to use each part of the Event Kit.  Educators will receive their own free Event Kit, as well as support resources for their use in bringing the Family Code Night program to their school.
