The Coaching Academy is a series of self-paced modules.

 

Once coaches are engaged in their practice they recognize that effective professional learning is sustained and ongoing.   And they understand the need for ongoing professional learning to improve their practice. 

This Learning Lab is designed to help coaches meet the needs for more professional learning in a variety of ways.  Participants will learn to link their coaching practice to other school initiatives like professional learning communities.  In addition this Learning Lab offers Ed Tech Coaches structured opportunities to collaborate with other coaches to share their successes and address challenges.  Finally, this course offers coaches a framework to rethink their coaching plan.

This Learning Lab will assist Ed Tech Coaches to expand their Content Knowledge and continue their Professional Growth as coaches, which are at the heart of the NETS•C Standards for coaches.  This Learning Lab is designed for K-12 educators in any subject area who want to become Educational Technology Coaches or strengthen their Coaching skills.

Bio: Les Foltos, PhD, is the founder of Peer-Ed (peer-ed.com). He served as director of instructional technology for Seattle Public Schools and helped develop the ISTE Coaching Academy, which launched in March 2013.
