The eMINTS National Center offers a two-year professional development program, delivered by eMINTS staff members and certified eMINTS instructional specialists, with a goal of changing how teachers teach and students learn. Participants benefit from both face-to-face and online delivery of materials in multiple formats, formative and summative assessments, teacher guides, evaluation rubrics, and supplementary teaching and learning materials. Participants complete learning activities, such as creating lesson plans and other classroom materials, while receiving approximately 200 hours of online direct instruction and 40 hours of in-classroom coaching intended to help teachers translate what they have learned into their classroom practice.

Seal of Alignment review

The eMINTS Comprehensive Professional Development Program received the ISTE Seal of Alignment for Mastery. Reviewers determined that this resource promotes mastery in the ISTE Standards for Teachers.

The online program applies a research-based approach to organizing instruction that participants can implement in any subject area at any level. The program enables educators to create classrooms that fully incorporate technology into the teaching and learning process while motivating all students to succeed socially and academically. The learning materials and experiences are well designed, clearly presented and constructivist in approach. There is a heavy emphasis throughout the two-year sequence on collaboration, community building, in-class application of learning outcomes and ongoing support from trained mentors.

The eMINTS Professional Development program meets the following ISTE Standards for Teachers:
