Advocacy Toolkit
Making the Case for Educational Technology
The 2004 and 2005 ISTE Leadership Symposia at NECC brought together
education leaders to create a collection of tools to help make the case
for educational technology. The result? The Advocacy Toolkit, a collection
of stories, templates, starter kits, and other resources that help you
to make the case for educational technology to a variety of audiences.
Resources to Help You Make the Case
Each of us has the capacity to be an advocate for improved
teaching
and learning with technology. Use the Advocacy Toolkit in five
ways:
find stories
you can share with others to illustrate the value of
educational technology,
- use guided
templates to create your own resources,
- select from starter
kits to make a focused argument to a specific audience,
- browse articles by title using the master
index, or
- select resources that make the case to specific audience
groups:
Building
administrators
Community
Corporate
community
District

Education
associations
Policy
makers
School

Teachers.
