Every year, thousands of educators come together at the ISTE Conference & Expo to discover new ways to learn with technology, and ISTE 2018 was no exception. In fact, it was a record-setting year for attendance.
The total number of attendees topped 18,500 for the first time. Throw in exhibitors, and you had more than 24,000 people immersed in learning, connecting and socializing at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Attendees met face to face with educators who hailed from 87 countries and all 50 states. They heard from inspiring keynotes, like authors David Eagleman an Andy Weir, and educators Katie Martin, Nadia Lopez and Michael Cohen. They learned about new tech frontiers in education, such as artificial intelligence, and they committed to doing just one thing to promote digital citizenship in the coming school year and to share their pledges on social media using the hashtag #DigCitCommit.
